A recent Canada-European Union (EU) study demonstrated that freer trade between Canada and the EU has the potential to bring a $12-billion boost to the Canadian economy and increase Canadian exports to the EU by about 20 percent. A bilateral agreement with the EU could deliver commercial benefits across many sectors of the Canadian economy.
